Dan Hurley's Son to Play in Championship Game

Andrew Hurley, a Walk-On Senior Guard, Will Join Huskies for Title Clash

Father and Son Ready for Second Championship Run

STORRS, Conn. - UConn men's basketball coach Dan Hurley and his son, Andrew, are preparing for a special moment in their lives. Andrew, a walk-on senior guard for the Huskies, will be one of four seniors suiting up for UConn in the upcoming championship game.

This will be the second time that father and son have made a championship run together. In 2014, Dan Hurley led Rhode Island to the NCAA Tournament as head coach, while Andrew was a sophomore on the team.

"It's a dream come true," said Dan Hurley. "I'm so proud of Andrew and all that he's accomplished. He's worked so hard to get to this point, and I'm just happy to be able to share this experience with him."

Andrew Hurley is averaging 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game this season. He's known for his hustle and defense, and he's a valuable member of the Huskies' rotation.

"I'm just trying to do my part to help the team win," said Andrew Hurley. "It's an honor to be able to play for my dad, and I'm going to give it everything I've got to help us win a championship."

The Hurley family will be cheering on Andrew and the Huskies from the stands on championship day. It's sure to be a special moment for the family, and they're all looking forward to sharing this experience together.
