Coach Houston Previews Matchup with Old Dominion

Old Dominion travels to Greenville, N.C. this weekend to take on the Pirates. ECU head coach Mike Houston met with the media Monday to discuss the matchup.

Here's everything Houston said during his press conference:

• On Old Dominion: "They're a very good football team. They're well-coached. They've got a lot of good players. They're going to be a challenge for us."
• On ODU's offense: "They've got a very good quarterback in Blake Watson. He's a dual-threat guy. He can run and throw. They've also got a very good running back in Blake Watson. He's a physical runner. They're going to try to pound the ball at us."
• On ODU's defense: "They're a very aggressive defense. They're going to try to pressure us and force us into mistakes. They've got a lot of good players on that side of the ball."
• On the importance of this game: "This is a big game for us. We need to win this game to stay in the race for the conference championship. We're going to need to play our best game of the season."
• On the team's preparation for ODU: "We've had a good week of preparation. We've watched a lot of film and we've worked on our game plan. We're ready for this challenge."

ECU and Old Dominion will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
