The Western Bulldogs have triumphed over Essendon in a convincing 41-point win, snapping their two-game losing streak and bolstering their chances of securing a place in the AFL finals.
The Bombers and Bulldogs faced off in a highly anticipated Round 19 clash at Marvel Stadium. The Bulldogs dominated the first half, establishing a 26-point lead at the main break. They maintained their momentum in the second half, extending their lead and ultimately securing the victory.
Marcus Bontempelli was instrumental in the Bulldogs' success, kicking two goals and providing numerous clearances. Aaron Naughton also impressed with three majors, while Cody Weightman and Patrick Lipinski contributed two goals each.
